I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
